This problem seems to have arrived with my upgrade to Yosemite and it is causing e-mail from my family to be rejected and returned. I keep getting a small triangle next to my e-mail inbox that indicates that I can't receive e-mail unless I accept an insecure authentication, checked in advanced in mail preferences.
